Opportunity: Cook’s Ferry Indian Band - Band Manager

Located in Spence’s Bridge, B.C. in the beautiful Nicola and Thompson River valleys, the Cooks Ferry Indian Band (CFIB) of the Nlaka’pamux Nation, offers a wide range of recreational activities and outdoor adventures.  With a proud history, rich in culture and tradition, the community is building a promising future through cultural, social and economic development.   Involved in the forest industry, mining, tourism and land management, CFIB is looking to expand their economic development opportunities with capital projects including housing construction and water system upgrades.

Cooks Ferry Indian Band is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Band Manager who will take on a variety of challenges and opportunities and play an integral role in the continued strengthening of the vision for this community. 

Reporting to Chief and Council, the successful candidate will advise Chief and Council on a broad range of issues related to the administration of the CFIB including economic development and improving internal administrative and governance policies.  She/he will oversee the Nation’s administration of member programs, projects and services including education, social assistance, real property taxation, ranch operations, economic development and housing.
