On March 14, 2012 the Higgins Executive Search team attended the 10th Annual Excellence in Leadership Awards Gala. Designed to showcase outstanding Human Resource achievements in Manitoba, HRMAM’s prestigious awards honour organizations and individuals who are leaders in diversity, development, impact, and innovation.

The gala evening included 20
nominees who were recognized, 9 awards were handed out and two people achieved
CHRP Fellowship designations for their lifelong contributions to the human
resources field.
Included in the award
categories was the Rising Star Award. This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated excellence in
personal performance and commitment to the Human Resource profession through
their professional, volunteer, and educational activities. The Rising Star is an HR trail blazer who
holds the future of the HR profession in their hands and is lighting the HR
community on fire.
We would like to
congratulate our own Deanne Cockell, Associate with Higgins Executive Search,
as the recipient of the Rising Star Award.
Special mention also to the ladies from KIDS (Kids in Daycare are Super)
Inc., who sat at our table, and were nominated for the Workplace Education
& Employee Development Award.
