Laurentian University is seeking a Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering. The Dean contributes significantly to the Strategic Research Plan of the University, and promotes focused areas of research excellence within the Faculty, while continuing to maintain strong undergraduate programs. Reporting to the VP, Academic and Provost, the Dean will foster strong relationships with faculty members, Chairs and Directors and will work collaboratively with University-wide governance bodies, fellow Deans, senior administration, the Board of Governors, industry, external advisory bodies, the media and the community at large.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong research profile and a commitment to teaching excellence. She/he will lead and direct the Faculty with both a visionary and administrative focus and will bring a passion for excellence in teaching, research and innovation.
