With over 690 members and 9000 residents, Westbank First Nation (WFN) is one of the seven bands that comprise the Okanagan Nation.  With a proud history, rich in culture and tradition, the community is building a promising future through cultural, social and economic development.   Located in the beautiful South Central Interior of British Columbia, just minutes from Kelowna, B.C., this self-governing First Nation’s mission is to provide and develop local community governmental services in the most efficient and effective manner for the overall betterment of the membership and community.

This prosperous First Nation is seeking a motivated and skilled Manager, Human Resources and Administration that will welcome a variety of challenges and opportunities to assist the WFN in fostering a work environment and organizational culture that brings out the best in people.

The Manager, Human Resources and Administration works in collaboration with department managers and staff to build capacity and facilitate a positive and thriving customer service-oriented environment. The successful candidate is responsible for the development, implementation and management of a variety of human resource and administration services and programs, including: recruitment and retention, labour and employee relations, compensation, training and development, performance management, administrative assistance and succession planning. She/he will develop, implement, and manage a wide range of human resource and administration processes, policies and programs while initiating best practices’ strategies.
