The Seneca Nation Health System (SNHS) is recognized as a non-profit public health organization that aims to enhance the overall health of the Seneca communities it represents throughout Western New York. The SNHS serves these communities by providing a comprehensive range of health services through three health facilities in the Allegany and Cattaraugus Territories: the Lionel R. John Health Center, the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Health Center and the Cattaraugus Community Health and Wellness Center.

Established in 1976, the SNHS is considered a leading edge organization with a proud history rich in culture and tradition. SNHS is dedicated to continually enhancing the provision of health care services for the Seventh Generation of Native Americans; which incorporates the belief that physical, mental, social and spiritual functions are one. In satisfying this vision, the SNHS is comprised of four divisions: Clinical Services, Behavioral Health Services, Operations, and Community Health Services (which is comprised of Child & Family Services, Health Outreach, the Prevention and Education Unit, and Environmental Health).  

Reporting to the Seneca Nation Health Commission and possessing an advanced understanding of health care specific to Native American communities, the Chief Executive Officer will lead and implement the mission and vision of SNHS ensuring that communities and patients receive the highest quality care possible. She/he will liaise, influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including but not limited to: Native American communities and leadership, educational institutions, and key government departments. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in progressive management with a broad understanding of clinical, economic, labor, and technological trends and possess the operational and administrative skills required in delivering clinical and population health services.
