Founded in 2002, the First Nations of Southern Manitoba CFS Authority (operating as the Southern First Nations Network of Care – SFNNC) was established by Manitoba’s Child and Family Services Authorities Act.

The SFNNC oversees 10 mandated child welfare agencies, including 8 agencies that provide services to citizens of 36 southern First Nations (both on and off reserve); the agency that provides services primarily to members of Ontario First Nations who live in Winnipeg, and; the agency that provides intake services in Winnipeg for Manitoba’s four child welfare authorities. The SFNNC strives to makes a difference in the quality of life of all children by ensuring their protection and promoting the wellness of families and strengthening of First Nations peoples and communities. 

The SFNNC is looking for a dedicated, strategic leader as the Chief Executive Officer to continue to build on the success of the organization and achieve their mission that all children, families, and communities will be healthy, strong, empowered, and enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

 Chief Financial Officer

The Nunatsiavut Group of Companies (NGC) is the independent business arm of the Nunatsiavut Government and reports into Labrador Inuit Capital Strategy Trust. Reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a newly created position to meet NGC’s current administrative and business activities as well as plans for continued growth and expansion. Providing leadership and vision to the executive team, the CFO will be responsible for the overall financial oversight of the NGC owned entities. She/he will have strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, and demonstrated experience in risk management, financial accounting, planning, reporting, analysis, cash management, and procurement.
