THE ROLE

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director of Operations (MDO) will be responsible for implementing the strategic vision for the shareholders through long-term planning, marketing, project management, and communications. The MDO will prepare long-term strategic and annual business plans, and oversee the plans’ implementation, monitoring, and revision. The MDO will lead and direct business development, promotion and communication, coordinate the work of consultants and project managers, and ensure the growth and profitability of the business.

The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary education in business (preferably an MBA) along with a minimum of 5 years of significant experience as a senior manager and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Complimented by exceptional business acumen and strategic planning skills, the successful candidate will bring sound project management, corporate communications and financial analysis abilities combined with a proven track record of directing and motivating a team of senior professionals. Familiarity and experience working with Aboriginal (Inuit, First Nations and Métis) communities will be considered an asset.
